In April, 31st Liaison Meeting on Trademarks took place. ECTA was represented by Klaudia Błach-Morysińska, attorney and patent attorney from Zaborski Morysiński . Klaudia Błach-Morysińska took an active part in the meeting.
The discussion covered a number of important issues in the field of intellectual and industrial property rights. Among the topics discussed were the newly conferred competences and responsibilities of the EUIPO, updates on the Geographical Indications reforms, issues of support for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and concerns about abuses of the intellectual property system. In addition, discussions covered procedural issues such as representation before the Office and recent court rulings, among others.
