Zaborski, Morysiński Law Firm on international conference „Regulatory and Enforcement Developments for Standard Essential Patents”

Two days of insightful debates, expert panels, and high-level exchanges on Standard Essential Patents (SEPs) confirmed that Warsaw is emerging as a key meeting point for major stakeholders in this field.
With the Polish Presidency of the Council of the EU, the timing of this conference was particularly significant, contributing to the ongoing dialogue around SEP regulation and enforcement in Europe and beyond.
Key themes that shaped this year’s discussions:
– the future of SEP regulation in the EU and globally, – licensing challenges in sectors such as IoT, energy, and video streaming,
13
– the growing influence of the Unified Patent Court (UPC) in SEP-related disputes, – striking the right balance between innovation incentives and market access.
It was a pleasure to be part of these critical conversations, and we are especially pleased that AIPPI Poland was among the institutional partners of the event.
We look forward to the next edition and continuing the dialogue on the evolving SEP landscape.
