Misleading invoices regarding trademark applications or registrations have become a big problem in both Poland and the European Union. As of December 1, 2021 Patent Office of the Republic of Poland launches authenticity verification tool in fight against fraudsters.
The Patent Office of the Republic of Poland has launched a new functionality that allows to verify the authenticity of correspondence sent by the Office. The purpose of implementing the solution is to increase trust in the authenticity of the correspondence received from the Office. From December 1, 2021, application confirmations and decisions on granting exclusive rights (conditional decisions) will be provided with a QR code and information on how to verify the authenticity of the correspondence sent.
